Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!

Jimmy and I helped plan and put together the Sandia Ward Halloween Party on Friday the 31st. We had a picnic style dinner with a magic show followed by a costume parade. Then the kids were released to have fun at 9 different carnival booths set up around the cultural hall. After all that fun we headed out to the parking lot for the Trunk-R-Treat.

Here is our Halloween outfits:

1.Jimmy's Costume: Face paint with pendent- $0.25
Hair spray, black & white - $0.96
Cape - $1.25
Red Tuxedo waist strap - $0.99
2. Beth's Costume: Face paint with nose - $0.25
Hat with hair - $0.97
Dress - $3.50
Socks - $2.00
3. Kennedy's Costume: Free
The fun we had......priceless!!!!
Jimmy ran the Cotton Candy machine....to say least it was a big hit!
Kennedy wasn't too interested in treat-or-treating, she had much more fun standing in the back of the truck watching all the kids come by.

Kennedy won the "cutest kid ever" award at the costume parade. I introduced her and then set her on the stage to have her crawl across, everyone laughed when she did. I wish I had the video camera out then but I didn't, so I video her after. She was really cute in that costume!

McCall's Pumpkin Patch

I was bummed thinking about missing the Schneph farms this year in AZ, but never fear we found a pumpkin patch here, YES!!!!! We went on a Saturday with a big group of friends. It was fun to go with a lot of people.

Kennedy loved all the animals, we couldn't get her to look at the camera because she was too busy watching the ducks.
The one ride that Kennedy could go on was the cow ride. Here we are waiting for our little ones to get back.
She went with Hunter and Parker, and she really didn't want to go on it at first but by the time she got back she didn't want to get out.
Yep, she's getting taller.
We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin field. Kennedy liked being in the middle of all the pumpkins. She searched around until she found one her size that she liked.
Then Jimmy found one that he liked. I swear it was the biggest one in the whole field.
Later that night the Navarrette's rented a fire pit for their daughters B-day. We hung out ate BBQ pulled pork, roasted marshmallow, drank hot chocolate and celebrated Katie's B-Day.

Sorry

I'm sorry I haven't been very good a posting lately.....well for the last 3 months. So I'm starting to caught up. Hopefully I'll get caught up in time for the holidays.

Surprise!!!

I made a surprise visit to AZ!! I didn't tell anyone that I was coming except for Summer & Derek and Lindy. Lindy convinced her Mom to come with her to the airport saying that she was picking up a friend and then they were going furniture shopping. Jimmy was talking to his Mom when they pulled up. When she saw me and Kennedy she screamed and threw the phone down. We then headed to the Hoopes' house to surprise Fred and Melissa. I hung out there until about 5:00pm until Derek called me and told me that "the eagle had landed". That meant that everyone had arrived at their house for Sailor's B-Day party. When I got there I walked out the sliding glass door and surprised everyone!! Mom started to cry (that made me feel good :))

We decided at the party to have a girls night out. We went to Oregano's sorry I forgot to get pics at the restaurant.

Kennedy and I hung out for the next week, one of the things she liked to do was look out the window at the dogs. It was so funny because they would stand there waiting for her to open the door and she would just scream at them.

Amber gave me a much needed hair cut!!!! Thanks Amber!!!!

One night we went out with the Hoopes' to BJ's. I miss that restaurant the most!

Fred cut a watermelon an gave it to Kennedy to eat by her self. We enjoyed the photo shoot. She is my mom's grand-daughter she LOVES watermelon. It was fun to be down I guess I'll see everyone again at Thanksgiving.

Jemez Mountains

Before it was starting to get too cold we went on a camping trip with a group of friends. (Yes I was cold all night and all day!!!) We didn't find a camping spot until Friday late so there we were 5 different families setting up tents with tired children, aaaaahhhh!!! Well as soon as we got the fire going the kids settled down. There is something about a campfire that just makes you stare at it. Saturday we just hung around and went on hikes with the kids. We packed up and came home Saturday night, it was fun!!!

During one of the hikes we went on Kennedy started to get tired so she would lay her head down on Jimmy's head. It was so cute. We cut out of the hike early so that we could go back and lay her down for a nap.
After waking up from the nap she wasn't so happy. Kennedy and Dad just hanging around by the camp fire.

Congrats Jimmy!!!

For the past several months Jimmy has been studying for the LEED (Leadership in Engergy and Environmental Design) Test. It's a test that allows his company to bid for work that is environmental friendly. These are building like hospitals, government buildings and lots of other types of commerical buildings. It's a hard test to past! It usually takes 2-3 times taking it, however Jimmy past it on the first time! He is the only one in his company that is certified right now. Congrats Jimmy on all your hard work!!!!!!!!!

Here is what a one of those buildings look like!! Pretty Huh :)

Kennedy's First B-Day Party Invite

Kennedy got invited to her first Birthday Party. It was for Grace Mellen turning 2!
Kennedy loved the Cupcakes!!! She ate 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we went to back to AZ.
The morning of the 4th Kennedy went to help Grandma shuck corn for the BBQ at Derek & Summer's. Kennedy found a new love. She loved eating the raw corn. She sat there with my Mom for a long time just enjoying the corn.
We spent most of the day swimming at Derek & Summer's amazing pool. It was really hot outside!!

Kennedy ate that whole cupcake by herself!
Kennedy's first time going down the slide. She wasn't so sure of it.
What a cutie! She likes the water.
What's a hot summer day without Popsicles?
The 4th evening Rock N' R' Ranch shoots off fireworks in my parents back pasture. So we get front row seats! It's one of the best firework show in the valley. This is Grandma Hoopes holding Kennedy and Aunt Jamie eating a snow cone.
Heather (Jimmy's cousin) let Kennedy have her snow cone! Thanks Heather!!!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went to Showlow for a softball tournament. We rented a cabin with some of our friends, the Navarrette's and the Pehrson's. The boy's played all day Saturday and won 2 out of 3 games. On Sunday we went to church with Jimmy's cousins and then had a BBQ with all the team mates and their families. On Monday the boy's played all day again. They came in 4th in the tournament! WAHOOOO!!! This is a big deal because for the last 3 years they have never won a game. The only bad thing about that weekend was how windy it was! I was so cold!!! Kennedy loved to play in the dirt with other kids. She was content to play all day long in the rocks and dirt. I can't wait till next year!

Alpine

At the end of June we meet some of my family members (my parents, Russell & Amber's family and Derek & Summer's Family) up at the cabin. Unfortunately, we could only stay for the weekend but it was still fun! Alpine is the best vacation place!!

Here is Jimmy and Maggie (Russell & Amber's) craw-dad fishing at a pond we found. Maggie was actually really good at catching the craw-dads on her own. There were many times that I was just finishing putting a craw-dad in the bucket to turn around to another one in my face with Maggie saying "Look Aunt Beth I caught another one!".
Derek brought up his latest toy. It was awesome! It fit six people and the harnesses were comfortable. Derek even made it road ready! Thanks Derek!! Dad wanted to find a trail that went from Luna Lake to Terri Flat. So we piled into this and others got on quads. It took us forever to find the right trail but we finally did it!

Here is a Crazy Driver!!!!!!!

The other thing that I like about Alpine is just hanging out and playing games with everyone. This is Krew, Kennedy, Derek and Salior just chillin'.

Visit to AZ

At the beginning of May we took a trip back to AZ. Leeanne (Jimmy's sister) was visiting from Japan! What a long trip for her. It was the first time meeting Jenna (Leeanne's little girl). It was so fun to be around them. Jenna is such a fun and energetic little girl. She could crawl circles around Kennedy. It was also nice to see my side of the family as well. Kennedy loved playing at my parent's house. The only thing she wasn't sure of was Hank (the big blood hound). I think it was because he always stole her food. It was a fun trip and we were sad to say goodbye to everyone...especially Leeanne and Jenna. We can't wait to see them at Christmas.

Daddy's Girl

Kennedy is such a Daddy's Girl!!Kennedy loves her Daddy!! She gets so excited when she sees him. When Kennedy hears him come home for lunch she starts yelling and saying "Hi Dadddddd". I however, hardly ever get that reception from her. It's probably because she sees me all day and lets face it....I can get boring to a little 13 month old.

She loves when Jimmy puts his hats on her. I think she is so cute with them on.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY KENNEDY!!!!

My little girl turned 1!! I can't believe it, it's gone so fast. She is such a character I love her personality. For her birthday Grandma & Grandpa Hoopes and Aunt Melissa came to celebrate. Since our apartment is small we decided to celebrate outside at this beautiful park.

Yes, that is a pro decorated Cake! I know amazing isn't it. :) I had to keep the plastic food wrap on because as soon as I took it off it pulled all the writing off.
At first Kennedy didn't want to put the cake in her mouth she just wanted to mash her hands in the cake. As soon as I had her taste her hands, she got really excited.

Brandon, Brittani and Lindy gave her a Stretch Elmo. She likes honking his nose.
She's getting good at opening presents.
After all the fun cake eating and present opening we played a couple of croquet games. Jimmy is won every game, and I came in last every game. I think he cheated. :) Just kidding! It was a fun weekend. It was fun to have family come up and celebrate with us.

Can You Guess Who's Toe is Who's???

Kennedy & I were bored one day. Our truck was in the shop and Jimmy had the car so we were stuck at home all day long.......BORING!!!!! So we decided to paint our toes. After I finished my toes Kennedy kept touching them and clapping. I thought she might like it if I did the same for her. She was so good, she sat still the whole time and just watched me paint her toes. Ever since then every time her toes catch her eyes she tries to suck on them....hehehehe. It's so cute.

Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend was a fun busy one! We went to the Zoo on Saturday for an Easter egg hunt! It was our first trip to the Zoo and we loved it!! The Flamingo's were pretty, they were bright orange. Sorry the picture doesn't do it justice!

This monkey was so funny! When you would point the camera at it and say "Cheese" it would smile. The monkey liked all the attention. It stays right on the fence and moves to the biggest crowd of people.

We caked Kennedy with 60 SPF sunscreen and kept her in the stroller most of the time. She still got a little tan. Jimmy on the other hand is bright red like a lobster!

We watched the sea lions get fed. Kennedy would clap and shout every time the crowd clapped. It was cute!
There was this big park in the center of the zoo. We stopped and ate lunch there. Afterwards we hid tons of eggs. Kennedy liked her egg that she found.

The only thing she wanted to do was put the egg in her mouth. She didn't even care about the fruit snacks that were in the egg.

I hid the egg really hard. But Kennedy's sharp eye found it with no problem! :)

On Sunday we went over to some friends house for an Easter dinner and another egg hunt. This time finding the egg was a little bit harder for her. She never wanted to look up!

Kennedy enjoying some time in a big Easter basket.

Sunday morning we dressed Kennedy up in her Easter dress. Jimmy's cousins, Mark & Amber Hoopes, were blessing their baby that Sunday so we went. It took us about 1 hour to get there. It was good to see Jimmy's Aunt Myrna and Uncle John.

Kennedy liked her little Easter Bunny.
