Boyce's Blessing

On Aug 9th 2009 we were privileged to bless Boyce in my parents home in AZ. I am so thankful I have such a great family that love and care so much for me and my little family!

Yes we are ALIVE!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Yes we are alive and everything is going well!!! Since I haven't updated in so long for the next couple of days I'll try to update daily until I caught up. First and most exciting we had James "Boyce" Hoopes! Boyce made his arrival on July 16, 2009 (Yep 6 days after his due date. I guess he like the Jacuzzi too much :p) The delivery was great. Yes he's a great baby and yes Kennedy likes him!!!

A Series of Unfortunate Events

We've had some technology troubles lately. First our camera broke at Kennedy's Birthday Party (Don't worry I had a friend take some pics I will try to get those up as soon as they get back into town from vacation). Next our DVD in our DVD/VCR combo broke....which has been the mostly devastating for Kennedy because now she has to do without Leapfrog's "ABC Letter Factory" video. Everyday she asks for it and everyday we have to explain to her that it's broke---I found out that it's really hard for a two year old to understand that, but hey, I guess it’s not too early to teach your kids that sometimes you have to do without! Not to long after that our computer befell an untimely unexpected death!!! I don’t get it!!! We had some power outage one night and the next morning I couldn’t get the computer to turn on. And yes, we do have a surge protector with battery power backup on it, however according to experts sometimes a computer can still get fried. We've had people come look at it but unfortunately there is just no resurrecting this thing. We lost a couple months of pics with the premature death of our computer since the last time we backed up was before Christmas. Jimmy has decided to build a computer so until we get that finished we are stuck using his old laptop---which I might add is really, REALLY slow when it comes to putting pictures on it. So until further notice I will not be blogging for a while---well at least not with pictures...I know some are saying that I don't keep up with it even though I had a working computer...but now that I can't really do it I want to....Aaahh such is life. So until further notice---we will be out of commission.

I'm Back!

Well it's definitely been a long time since I've updated my blog! Sorry I've been lazy. A lot has happened since Halloween. First we moved into a house....YES!!!!! Next I found out that we are having another addition to our family, IT'S A BOY, due July 10th. We told both our families at Christmas.

For the holiday's we spent Thanksgiving in Thatcher, AZ with Jimmy's side. We enjoyed hangin' out and eating Delicious food!!

For Christmas we spent time in Mesa, AZ. We spent Christmas Eve and Day with my side and then enjoyed Christmas the next day with Jimmy's side. We were so excited to spend time with Jimmy's sister's Family from Japan (Leeanne, Blake and Jenna). It had been a long time since we were able to hang out with them.

In January Jimmy turned 30!! I wish I would have made more of a push to make it a big celebration but instead we kept it low key. We went out to dinner with a couple of friends to Jimmy's favorite restaurant--OUTBACK. He was so nice that he shared one of his presents with Kennedy. They both enjoyed it.

That is the only kind of smile I can get out of Kennedy.

Since then we have just been hangin' out, enjoying life. Kennedy is getting older and YES she is finally walking 100% of the time ('bout time I'd say). She is starting to get into things and she LOVES to dress up and put on make-up.

Spring is Here!!!

Even though it still has been REALLY cold here, I can tell that spring is just around the corner!
The tree's in front of our house are starting to bloom! They are so pretty. ( You can't really tell from the picture but the little one is bright pink and the big one is bright white. The contrast is so beautiful.) I can't wait for the roses to start to bloom as well!!
