Alpine

At the end of June we meet some of my family members (my parents, Russell & Amber's family and Derek & Summer's Family) up at the cabin. Unfortunately, we could only stay for the weekend but it was still fun! Alpine is the best vacation place!!

Here is Jimmy and Maggie (Russell & Amber's) craw-dad fishing at a pond we found. Maggie was actually really good at catching the craw-dads on her own. There were many times that I was just finishing putting a craw-dad in the bucket to turn around to another one in my face with Maggie saying "Look Aunt Beth I caught another one!".
Derek brought up his latest toy. It was awesome! It fit six people and the harnesses were comfortable. Derek even made it road ready! Thanks Derek!! Dad wanted to find a trail that went from Luna Lake to Terri Flat. So we piled into this and others got on quads. It took us forever to find the right trail but we finally did it!

Here is a Crazy Driver!!!!!!!

The other thing that I like about Alpine is just hanging out and playing games with everyone. This is Krew, Kennedy, Derek and Salior just chillin'.

Visit to AZ

At the beginning of May we took a trip back to AZ. Leeanne (Jimmy's sister) was visiting from Japan! What a long trip for her. It was the first time meeting Jenna (Leeanne's little girl). It was so fun to be around them. Jenna is such a fun and energetic little girl. She could crawl circles around Kennedy. It was also nice to see my side of the family as well. Kennedy loved playing at my parent's house. The only thing she wasn't sure of was Hank (the big blood hound). I think it was because he always stole her food. It was a fun trip and we were sad to say goodbye to everyone...especially Leeanne and Jenna. We can't wait to see them at Christmas.

Daddy's Girl

Kennedy is such a Daddy's Girl!!Kennedy loves her Daddy!! She gets so excited when she sees him. When Kennedy hears him come home for lunch she starts yelling and saying "Hi Dadddddd". I however, hardly ever get that reception from her. It's probably because she sees me all day and lets face it....I can get boring to a little 13 month old.

She loves when Jimmy puts his hats on her. I think she is so cute with them on.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY KENNEDY!!!!

My little girl turned 1!! I can't believe it, it's gone so fast. She is such a character I love her personality. For her birthday Grandma & Grandpa Hoopes and Aunt Melissa came to celebrate. Since our apartment is small we decided to celebrate outside at this beautiful park.

Yes, that is a pro decorated Cake! I know amazing isn't it. :) I had to keep the plastic food wrap on because as soon as I took it off it pulled all the writing off.
At first Kennedy didn't want to put the cake in her mouth she just wanted to mash her hands in the cake. As soon as I had her taste her hands, she got really excited.

Brandon, Brittani and Lindy gave her a Stretch Elmo. She likes honking his nose.
She's getting good at opening presents.
After all the fun cake eating and present opening we played a couple of croquet games. Jimmy is won every game, and I came in last every game. I think he cheated. :) Just kidding! It was a fun weekend. It was fun to have family come up and celebrate with us.

Can You Guess Who's Toe is Who's???

Kennedy & I were bored one day. Our truck was in the shop and Jimmy had the car so we were stuck at home all day long.......BORING!!!!! So we decided to paint our toes. After I finished my toes Kennedy kept touching them and clapping. I thought she might like it if I did the same for her. She was so good, she sat still the whole time and just watched me paint her toes. Ever since then every time her toes catch her eyes she tries to suck on them....hehehehe. It's so cute.

Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend was a fun busy one! We went to the Zoo on Saturday for an Easter egg hunt! It was our first trip to the Zoo and we loved it!! The Flamingo's were pretty, they were bright orange. Sorry the picture doesn't do it justice!

This monkey was so funny! When you would point the camera at it and say "Cheese" it would smile. The monkey liked all the attention. It stays right on the fence and moves to the biggest crowd of people.

We caked Kennedy with 60 SPF sunscreen and kept her in the stroller most of the time. She still got a little tan. Jimmy on the other hand is bright red like a lobster!

We watched the sea lions get fed. Kennedy would clap and shout every time the crowd clapped. It was cute!
There was this big park in the center of the zoo. We stopped and ate lunch there. Afterwards we hid tons of eggs. Kennedy liked her egg that she found.

The only thing she wanted to do was put the egg in her mouth. She didn't even care about the fruit snacks that were in the egg.

I hid the egg really hard. But Kennedy's sharp eye found it with no problem! :)

On Sunday we went over to some friends house for an Easter dinner and another egg hunt. This time finding the egg was a little bit harder for her. She never wanted to look up!

Kennedy enjoying some time in a big Easter basket.

Sunday morning we dressed Kennedy up in her Easter dress. Jimmy's cousins, Mark & Amber Hoopes, were blessing their baby that Sunday so we went. It took us about 1 hour to get there. It was good to see Jimmy's Aunt Myrna and Uncle John.

Kennedy liked her little Easter Bunny.

Grandma & Papa Visit

My Mom & Dad came to visit this week for Spring Break! They spent a couple of days here and we really enjoyed having them. Mom was so excited to realize that Kennedy remembered her! I could tell Kennedy really enjoyed the extra attention. We decided to head up to the top of Sandia Crest and look out over Albuquerque. It was so cold up there and it started to snow. Unfortunately when we got to the top the clouds came it and blocked our view. Every now and then the clouds would part and we could see the city. However the clouds only parted long enough for us to get the camera up to our face. Every time we tried to take a picture the clouds would close in again. After freezing for a little while and not really seeing anything we headed on down the mountain. When we got down we could see that the clouds had moved on and it was perfectly clear on top of the mountain! What a Bug!!! O well I guess that means that we will have to do it again some time.

All in all we had a good time! It was fun having them come and visit! We can't wait to see them again soon.
